Back to School - Term 4

All looking smart for School Photos Day.

You may often see a group of children challenging themselves before school each morning, to come up with more and more elaborate Symmetrical patterns

A first attempt - great work James !

Musicians - we were entertained by 2 bands on Friday

Bad Hair Day Art
A fun exercise using a variety of straight and curved lines

Yes, you can paint with tennis balls!

Science - a 'wow' experiment!
We placed pictures of arrows and coloured strips behind glasses of water and couldn't believe what happened next... the images reversed and even split !

The children came up with possible reasons why we saw this effect - "the water might be moving"
"could it be something to do with light?" .......
More experiments to follow!

Week 8

This term is flying by and today we've had a busy day starting with the Blokes Breakfast. It was great to see so many of our "blokes" and then have some of them checking out Room 1. Lots of smiles on the student's faces as they proudly shared their work.
We had a buddy session with Room 7 this morning. The children enjoyed sharing ideas with the senior students and the fun of a scavenger hunt.

On Fridays we have a class buddy read. The students are learning not only to share their reading book but also how to listen to the other child.

You may gave noticed our spring display as you come in the door. And it actually feels like spring so long may it continue !
